Junior Lecturers Recruitment: APPSC has released a notification to filling up 47 posts of Junior Lecturers (JL) in Government Junior Colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Applications for these posts will be accepted from January 31 to February 20. It said in a statement on Thursday that the complete details have been made available on the website. Selection will be based on written test and computer proficiency. The complete notification regarding educational qualifications, age limit and application fee related details will be made available before January 31.

Age
Should be between 18-42 years as on 28.12.2023. Relaxation in age limit is applicable as per rules. 5 years for SC, ST, BC, EWS candidates; 10 years for the disabled; Age relaxation is applicable up to 3 years for Ex-Servicemen/NCC candidates, 5 years for State Government employees and 3 years for Temporary employees.
Educational Qualifications
MA/ MSc/ MCom/ BA(Hons)/ BSc(Hons)/ BCom(Hons) or any other equivalent PG degree in relevant field with minimum 50% marks. Civics subjects should be PG degree in Political Science.
The candidate should possess the prescribed academic qualification as on the date of this notification i.e., 28/12/2023
Application Fee
Candidates have to pay Rs.250 as application processing fee, Rs.120 as examination fee and a total of Rs.370. Exemption from examination fee of Rs.120 is applicable for SC, ST, BC, Handicapped, Ex-servicemen candidates and candidates with ration card.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on written test and computer proficiency.
Exam Pattern
A written test of 450 marks will be conducted. There will be total two papers (Paper-1, Paper-2) in the written exam. It consists of Paper-1: General Studies & Mental Ability (Degree Level) – 150 Questions – 150 Marks – 150 Minutes; Paper-2 Candidate Subject (PG Level) – 150 Questions – 300 Marks – Duration 150 Minutes. In paper-1, one mark is given for each question. In paper-2, two marks are allotted for each question. 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Computer Proficiency Test will be conducted for total 100 marks. Questions related to office automation, computer usage, computer software will be asked. Exam time is 60 minutes. The minimum qualifying marks have been fixed as 40 for OCs, 35 for BCs and 30 for SC-ST-PWDs.
