A total of 506 Assistant Commandant vacancies will be filled through this. The online application process for these posts started on April 24. Applications will be accepted till May 14.

Eligibility
Candidates having passed degree along with certain physical and medical criteria are eligible to apply.
Age Limit
Should be between 20 – 25 years as on 01.08.2024.
Application Fees
Rs.200. SC, ST and women candidates are exempted from the fee.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on written test, physical standards test, physical efficiency test, medical examination, interview, personality test and document verification.
Written Test
A written exam will be conducted for a total of 450 marks. There will be two papers in the exam.
Paper-1: General Ability & Intelligence will carry 250 marks. In objective mode (multiple choice) questions will be asked in English and Hindi medium.
Paper-2: 200 marks allotted for General Studies, Essay, Comprehension. Candidates have to write essay in Hindi or English medium. But precise writing, comprehension and other communication/language skills should be written in English only.
Physical Events
Candidates have to complete 100 meters run. Men should complete the race in 16 seconds and women in 18 seconds.
Similarly 800 meters race is also conducted. Men have to complete the race in 3 minutes 45 seconds and women in 4 minutes 45 seconds.
In long jump, men have to jump 3.5 meters and women 3.0 meters in three chances
Shortcut is performed only for men. Candidates have to throw a shot weighing 7.26 kg up to 4.5 meters in three chances.
