APSET 2024 Application: It is known that the ‘APSET-2024’ notification, which enables the eligibility and promotion for lecturer/assistant professor appointments in universities and degree colleges in AP, was released on February 10. Candidates with PG degree qualification in relevant subject are eligible to apply. APSET 2024 application process will start from February 14. Candidates can apply online till March 6 by paying the prescribed fee. Candidates can submit applications till March 16 with a late fee of Rs.2000 and till March 30 with a late fee of Rs.5000.

Candidates have to pay Rs.1200 as application fee for General and EWS candidates. BC candidates have to pay Rs.1000. SC, ST, Disabled and Transgender candidates need to pay Rs.700. As per the announced schedule, the APSET 2024 exam will be conducted on April 28. Andhra University has taken the responsibility of conducting the examination. Examination will be conducted for total 30 subjects. The hall tickets for the examination will be made available from April 19.

Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET 2024)

Subjects: Anthropology, History, Chemical Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science and Application, Economics, Education, English, Earth- Atmospheric- Ocean and Planetary Science, Environmental Science, Geography, Hindi, Journalism and Mass Communications, Law, Life Sciences, Library and Information Science, Management, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Physical Education, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Sanskrit, Sociology, Social Work, Telugu, Urdu, Visual Arts.

Eligibility: Must have passed Master’s Degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks. PG final year students are also eligible to apply. 50 percent marks is enough for BC, SC, ST, Handicapped, Third Gender candidates.

The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination has been completed by 19 September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.

Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility nor printout of their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to APSET office. However the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test.

For eligibility to Assistant Professor in Universities it is governed by guidelines issued by UGC and Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.

AP SET 2024: Age Limit

There is no age limit for appearing APSET.

APSET 2024: Fee

Exam Pattern

There are two papers in the AP set exam. 100 marks for 50 questions in Paper-1 (General Paper) and 200 marks for 100 questions in Paper-2 (Subject Related to Candidates). 60 minutes (hour) for paper-1 and 120 minutes (2 hours) for paper-2.
