Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Grade-3 Specialist posts. A total of 78 posts will be filled through this notification. MBBS, M.D., M.Sc., Ph.D. along with experience are eligible to apply for the respective post. Eligible candidates can apply till January 11.

Anesthesiology: 46

Allotment of Posts: SC-04, ST-06, OBC-30, EWS-01, UR-05 (PWD-01)*

Eligibility: Must have a recognized MBBS degree. Should have Post-Graduate Degree (MD(Anesthesiology)/MS(Anesthesiology))/Diploma(Anesthesiology).

Experience: Three years experience in relevant specialty after first Post Graduate Degree or five years experience after first Post Graduate Diploma.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 – 50 years. Age should not exceed 45 years for EWS/UR candidates, 48 years for OBC candidates and 50 years for SC/ST candidates.

Bio Chemistry: 01

Allotment of Posts: SC-01

Eligibility: Must have a recognized MBBS degree. Should have a Post-Graduate Degree i.e. MD(Bio-Chemistry)/ MSc(Medical Biochemistry)/PhD(Bio-Chemistry)/ DSC(Bio-Chemistry).

Experience: Three years experience in relevant specialty after obtaining first post graduate degree.

Age Limit: SC candidates should not exceed 50 years.

Forensic Medicine: 07

Allotment of posts: SC-01, OBC-03, UR-03.

Eligibility: Must have a recognized MBBS degree. Should have a post-graduate degree i.e. MD (Forensic Medicine).

Experience: Three years experience in relevant specialty after obtaining first post graduate degree.

Age Limit: 45 years for UR candidates, 48 years for OBC candidates and 50 years for SC candidates.

Micro Biology: 09

Allotment of posts: SC-01, ST-01, OBC-07.

Eligibility: Must have a recognized MBBS degree. Post-Graduate Degree i.e. MD(Bacteriology)/MD(Microbiology)/, MBBS with M.Sc.(Med. Bacteriology)/ M.Sc.(Med. Bacteriology)/ M.Sc.(Med. Microbiology)/ Ph.D.(Med. Bacteriology)/ M.Sc.(Med. Bacteriology) D.Sc.(Med. Bacteriology)/ M.Sc.(Med. Microbiology) with Ph.D.(Med. Microbiology)/ M.Sc.(Med. Microbiology) D.Sc.(Med. Microbiology)/ D(Bact.)/ Diploma in Pathology & Bacteriology (DPB).

Experience: Three years experience in relevant specialty after first Post Graduate Degree or five years experience after first Post Graduate Diploma.

Age Limit: 48 years for OBC candidates and 50 years for SC/ST candidates.

Pathology: 07

Allotment of posts: SC-01, ST-01, OBC-01, UR-04.

Eligibility: Must have a recognized MBBS degree. Post-Graduate Degree i.e. MD(Pathology)/ PhD(Pathology)/D.Sc.(Pathology)/Diploma in Clinical Pathology(DCP)/Diploma in Pathology.

Experience: Three years experience in relevant specialty after first Post Graduate Degree or five years experience after first Post Graduate Diploma.

Age Limit: 45 years for UR candidates, 48 years for OBC candidates and 50 years for SC/ST candidates.

Plastic Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery: 08

Allotment of posts: ST-01, OBC-04, UR-03.

Eligibility: Must have a recognized MBBS degree. Post-Graduate Degree i.e. M.Ch.(Plastic Surgery)/M.Ch.(Plastic & Constructive Surgery).

Experience: Three years experience in relevant specialty after obtaining first post graduate degree.

Age Limit: 45 years for UR candidates, 48 years for OBC candidates and 50 years for ST candidates.

Female/SC/ST/Disabled candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on shortlist and interview. Date for the interview on which the shortlisted candidates are required to bring the printout of their online application along with other documents at UPSC shall be intimated separately.
