Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2024 through CS(P) Examination 2024: Indian Forest Service Examination-2024 notification has been released by the Union Public Service Commission on February 14. Through this, various posts in the Forest Services will be filled. Candidates who have completed degree in relevant disciplines are eligible to apply for these posts. Candidates have to pay Rs.100 as application fee and apply online from February 14 to March 5.
Candidates will be selected for the main exam on the basis of UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam. After that candidates are selected for the jobs through interview. From 6th to 12th March, an opportunity will be provided for amendment of applications. The Civil Services Preliminary Exam will be conducted on May 26. Civil Services Preliminary Exam is also considered standard for this. The main exam will be conducted separately. Subsequently interviews are conducted and selection is made. Degree holders are eligible to apply.

Number of Vacancies: 150.
Eligibility
Degree (Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Botany/ Chemistry/ Geology/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Zoology) (or) Degree (Agricultural/ Forestry/ Engineering) should be passed.
Age Limit
Should be between 21 – 32 years as on 01.08.2024. Should have born between 02.08.1992 – 01.08.2003. Age relaxation is 5 years for SC and ST and 10 years for disabled.
IFS Exam 2024: Fee
Rs.100. SC, ST, Divyang (Benchmark Disabilities), Female candidates need not pay fee.
