It is known that the Railway Recruitment Board has released a brief job advertisement on February 17 for filling up a total of 9,144 RRB technician posts in 21 railway regions across the country. The complete notification for filling the jobs was released on March 8. The online application process started on March 9. Through this, the vacancies in Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Jammu and Srinagar, Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Prayagraj, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram and Gorakhpur regions will be filled.
The notification will be made available on the websites of the respective railway regions. Eligible candidates have to submit their applications online from 9th March to 8th April. Candidates have to pay Rs.500 as application fee. SC, ST, Minorities, EBCs, Handicapped will only pay Rs.250. Selection of jobs will be done on the basis of written, medical examination etc. Region wise vacancies, educational qualification, written exam, syllabus etc. complete details will be released soon.

Qualification: Bachelors Degree (Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation) or equivalent qualification. (or) Three years Engineering Diploma in relevant discipline. (OR) Engineering Degree (Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation) should be passed.
Age Limit: Between 18-36 years for Technician Grade-I Signal posts as on 01.07.2024. Relaxation in age limit is applicable as per rules. 5 years for SC, ST; 3 years for OBCs; 3-6-8 years category wise for ex-servicemen candidates; 10-13-15 years for differently abled; Age relaxation of 40-43-45 years is applicable for Railway (Group-C, Group-D) employees category wise. Age relaxation is applicable for 5 years or as per rules for those working in quasi-administrative (canteen, co-operatives, other) offices in the Railway Department.
Technician (Grade-III) Posts..
Qualification: 10th class or equivalent qualification with ITI qualification in relevant trade.
Age Limit: Should be between 18-33 years as on 01.07.2024. Relaxation in age limit is applicable as per rules. 5 years for SC, ST; 3 years for OBCs; 3-6-8 years category wise for ex-servicemen candidates; 10-13-15 years for differently abled; Age relaxation of 40-43-45 years is applicable for Railway (Group-C, Group-D) employees category wise. Age relaxation is applicable for 5 years or as per rules for those working in quasi-administrative (canteen, co-operatives, other) offices in the Railway Department. Similarly for single/widowed women category wise 35-38-40 years,; Relaxation upto 3 years for ITI qualified and completed ACT Apprenticeship.
Application Fee
Candidates have to pay Rs.500 as application fee. SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Transgender, Minority, EBC candidates need to pay Rs.250.
Selection Process
Selection will be made on the basis of CBT-1, CBT-2, Computer Based Aptitude Test, Document Verification, Medical Examination.

Rs.29,200 per month for Technician Grade-I Signal posts. 19,900 for Technician Grade-III posts.
