APPSC Librarian Posts: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has released a notification for the recruitment of librarian posts in AP Medical and Health Subordinate Service. 04 posts will be filled through this notification. MA/ MSc/ MCom, MLISC pass in first or second division. Degree (Biology), computerized database knowledge, communication skills are eligible to apply. Eligible candidates can apply from March 27 to April 16. Application processing fee of Rs.250 and examination fee of Rs.120 plus a total of Rs.370 has to be paid. Exemption from examination fee is applicable for SC, ST, BC, Handicapped, Ex-serviceman candidates and those having ration card. They only need to pay a processing fee of Rs.250. Selection will be based on computer based written test, computer proficiency test and examination of certificates.

APPSC Librarian: Eligibility

MA/ MSc/ M.Com, MLISC pass in first or second class. Degree (Biology), knowledge of computerized database, good communication skills.

APPSC Librarian: Age Limit

Should be between 18 to 42 years as on 01.07.2024. Relaxation in age limit is applicable as per rules. 5 years for SC, ST, BC, EWS candidates; 10 years for the disabled; 3 years for ex-servicemen, NCC candidates and temporary employees; Age relaxation up to 5 years is applicable for AP Govt employees.

Application Fee

Candidates have to pay Rs.250 as application processing fee and Rs.120 as examination fee together with a total of Rs.370. Exemption from examination fee is applicable for SC, ST, BC, Handicapped, Ex-servicemen candidates and those having ration card. They only need to pay a processing fee of Rs.250.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on computer based written test, computer proficiency test and examination of certificates.

Exam Pattern

A written exam will be conducted for a total of 450 marks. There will be total 150 questions in the exam. One mark is allotted for each question. It consists of Paper-1 (General Studies & Mental Ability) 150 Questions-150 Marks, Paper-2 (Relevant Subject): 150 Questions-300 Marks. The time allotted for each paper is 150 minutes. 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Computer Proficiency Test

Computer Proficiency Test will be conducted for total 100 marks. It asks questions related to office automation and computer software. Exam time is 60 minutes. The qualifying marks in the examination have been fixed as 30 for SC, ST, Divyang, 35 for BC and 40 for OC.

Pay Scale

Rs.48,440-1,37,220 per month.
