Indian Coast Guard Recruitment of Assistant Commandant: The Ministry of Defense of India has released a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant posts in various departments of the Indian Coast Guard in the batch of 2025. Through this, a total of 70 general duty and technical vacancies will be filled. Candidates who have passed Degree or Engineering Degree in relevant discipline are eligible to apply. Eligible male and female candidates can apply online from February 19 to March 6. Candidates have to pay Rs.300 as application fee. SC and ST candidates are exempted. Selection will be made on the basis of written tests and examination of certificates.

1) General Duty (GD): 50 Posts
Eligibility: Any degree passed with minimum 60% marks. Must have 55 percent marks in Mathematics and Physics in Inter.
Age Limit: Should be between 21-25 years as on 01.06.2024. Should have born between 01.07.1999 – 30.06.2003. Exemption for 5 years is applicable to those serving in Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force.
2) Technical (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics): 20 Posts
Qualifications..
Engineering Degree (Naval Architecture/ Mechanical/ Marine/ Automotive/ Mechatronics/ Industrial/ Production/ Metallurgy/ Design/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace) or equivalent qualification with minimum 60% marks in Mechanical stream. Must have 55 percent marks in Mathematics and Physics in Inter.
Engineering Degree (Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Control/ Electronics & Communication/ Power Engineering/ Power Electronics) or equivalent qualification with 60% marks for Electrical/Electronics disciplines. Must have 55 percent marks in Mathematics and Physics in Inter.
Age Limit: Should be between 21-25 years as on 01.06.2024. Should have born between 01.07.1999 – 30.06.2003. Exemption for 5 years is applicable to those serving in Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force.
Exam Fee

Selection Process
Stage-1 (Written Examination), Stage-2 (Preliminary Selection Board), Stage-3 (Final Selection Board), Stage-4 (Medical Exam), Stage-5 (Induction) Stages, Selection will be based on examination of certificates.
Pay Scale
Assistant Commandant will be paid Rs.56,100 per month with basic pay.

Applications will be accepted only ‘ONLINE’ from 19 Feb 2024 (1100 Hrs) to 06 Mar 2024 (1730 Hrs).
