
Navy SSC Officers: Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer Posts Notification has been released in Indian Navy. Through this, 254 vacancies will be filled in Executive Branch, Education Branch and Technical Branch. Educational qualifications are decided department wise. Unmarried male and female candidates with proper qualifications are eligible to apply. The online application process for filling these posts starts from February 24 and applications can be submitted till March 24. Selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in educational qualifications, interview, document verification, medical examination etc. The selected candidates will be admitted to the course (ST-25) commencing in January 2025 at the ‘Indian Navy Academy’, Ezhimala, Kerala. 56,100 will be given under SLT basic pay. Apart from this, there are other allowances. Those serving in various ranks in Navy can also apply.

Navy SSC Officers: Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on general marks obtained in the qualifying degree. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail or SMS. Merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks for all entries based on availability of vacancies and medical clearance for respective admission. Candidates found fit in the medical examination will be appointed depending on the availability of vacancies in the entry.
Navy SSC Officers: Training details
Candidates selected as Short Service Commission (SSC) officers will be admitted to the course starting in January next year in the rank of Sub-Lieutenant.
Only unmarried male and female candidates will be selected for training. If it is known that the marriage is taking place during the training, or if it is known that the marriage is taking place, they will be removed from the training. Until then they will be charged the amount of expenses incurred on them.
Those who voluntarily withdraw from the training at the initial stage or during the probation period will also have to pay the entire cost of the training period.
Candidates who fail to qualify in Flyind Training (Pilot/NAOO) will be removed from service.
Navy SSC Officers: Starting Salary
Rs.56,100 will be given under SLT Basic Pay. Apart from this, there are other allowances.
