Indian Coast Guard Navik Recruitment: Indian Coast Guard has released a notification for the recruitment of Navik posts (General Duty). A total of 260 vacancies will be filled through this. Unmarried male candidates with Inter / 10+2 are eligible to apply for these posts. Must have certain physical standards. Candidates have to submit applications through online mode from February 13 to 27. Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, verification of certificates and medical test.

Educational Qualification
Inter (Maths, Physics) or equivalent qualification.
Indian Coast Guard NAVIK: Age Limit
Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years. Candidates should be born between 01 Sep 2002 to 31 Aug 2006(both dates inclusive) applying for post of Navik (GD).
Application Fee
Rs.300. Exemption from fee is applicable for SC and ST candidates.
Selection Process
Stage-1: Computer Based Written Test, Stage-2: Assessment/Adaptability Test, Document Verification, Medical Examination, Stage-3: Document Verification, Pre Enrollment Medical Examination.
Test procedure
Stage-1 written test will be conducted for total 60 marks. A total of 60 questions will be asked in the exam. In this English-15 questions, Science-10 questions, Mathematics-20 questions, Reasoning-10 questions, General Knowledge-05 questions will be asked. Exam time is 45 minutes. The qualifying marks in the examination have been fixed as 30 marks for General, EWS and OBC candidates and 27 marks for SC-ST candidates. The questions will be of class 10 level.
Stage-2 written exam will be conducted for total 50 marks. A total of 50 questions will be asked in the exam. In this, Mathematics-25 questions and Physics-25 questions will be asked. Exam time is 30 minutes. The qualifying marks in the examination have been fixed as 20 marks for General, EWS and OBC candidates and 17 marks for SC-ST candidates. The questions will be of inter level.
For those who qualify in the written test, the next stage will be verification of certificates and medical examination.
Pay Scale
The selected will have an initial salary of Rs.21,700 per month (Pay Level 3) along with other allowances. 47,600 (Pay Level 8) along with DA in the rank of Chief Officer after promotion. There is also an insurance coverage of up to Rs.75 lakh.

The candidates are to ensure validity of E-mail ID and mobile number at least up to 28 Feb 25.
