Educational Qualification

Science Subjects
Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR
Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science /Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
OR
Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

Other than Science Subjects

Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
Passed two years Vocational Course from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

Age Limit

Born between 02.01.2004 to 02.07.2007. In case, a candidate has cleared all the stages of the selection process, the maximum age limit should be 21 years as on the date of registration.

Agniveervayu Physical Standards

Height: Height 152.5 cm for male candidates; 152 cm for female candidates, lower minimum height 147 cm for candidates from hilly areas of North East or Uttarakhand. Minimum height for Lakshadweep candidates is 150 cm.

Weight: Proportional to height and age.
Chest: Minimum chest for male candidates: 77 cm chest expansion should be minimum 05 cm, chest for female candidates should be proportional and chest expansion should be minimum 05 cm.

Hearing: Must have normal hearing. It means that each ear should be able to hear words from a distance of 06 meters.

Dental: Healthy gums, good teeth and at least 14 dental points

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted on the basis of Phase-1 (Online Written Test), Phase-2 (Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Test-1, Adaptability Test-2), Phase-3 (Medical Fitness Test), verification of certificates etc.
