Ministry of Culture, Government of India has released a notification for the recruitment of Group-A, B, C posts in Salarjung Museum, Hyderabad. Through this, the posts of Curator, Deputy Curator, Accountant, Senior Photographer, Gallery Assistant, Electrical Attendant will be filled in various departments. Educational qualifications are decided post wise. Eligible candidates can apply through offline mode till February 5. Candidates who have applied for the previously issued notifications (3/2015, 6/2017, 8/2017, 2/2019, 04/2019) for filling up the jobs in the museum need not apply again.

Eligibility: Master’s Degree (Museology/Fine Arts/Archaeology/History/Education) with 7 years experience in relevant discipline. Candidates without PG degree in Museology should qualify for Diploma (Museology). Should have knowledge of modern exhibition methods & techniques. Computer knowledge is also a must. Experience of participating in at least two Education Workshops/Camps/Programs.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
Salary: Rs.67,700 – Rs.2,08,700.
2) Curator (Display) Group-A: 01 Post
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree (Architecture/Interior Design/Fine Arts) or equivalent. Should have 7 years experience in relevant department. Diploma (Museology) should be qualified. Should have knowledge of modern exhibition methods & techniques. Computer knowledge is a must. Must have experience of holding at least two exhibitions.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
Salary: Rs.67,700 – Rs.2,08,700.
3) Curator (Conservation) Group-A: 01 post
Qualification: Master Degree (Chemistry/Conservation). Should have 7 years experience in relevant department. Degree/Diploma (Museology) for those not eligible for PG degree. Minimum 2 years experience in conservation department. Computer knowledge is a must.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
Salary: Rs.67,700 – Rs.2,08,700.
4) Curator (Manuscripts) Group-A: 01 post
Qualification: Master Degree (Urdu/Persian/Arabic/History) with 7 years experience in relevant discipline. Diploma (Museology) with research publication in manuscript. Should have practical experience with epigraphy, manuscript, calligraphy. Computer knowledge is a must.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
Salary: Rs.67,700 – Rs.2,08,700.
5) Deputy Curator Group-A: 04 Posts
Eligibility: Master’s Degree (Museology/Fine Arts/Archaeology/History) with 5 years experience in relevant discipline. Candidates who do not have PG degree qualification should have Diploma (Museology) qualification. Computer knowledge is a must. Must have experience with collection management software.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years.
Salary: Rs.56,100-Rs.1,77,500.
6) Deputy Curator (Education) Group-A: 01 post
Eligibility: Master’s Degree (Museology/Fine Arts/Archaeology/History/Mass Communication) with 5 years experience in relevant discipline. Candidates who do not have PG degree qualification should have Diploma (Museology) qualification. Computer knowledge is a must. Must have experience with collection management software. Must have command of Hindi, English, Telugu and Urdu languages. At least two research publications on museums or education topics.

Eligibility: Degree (Fine Arts) with specialization in Photography. Should have 5 years experience in relevant department. Computer, Tally software knowledge is a must.

10) Gallery Assistant Group-C: 01 Post
Eligibility: Master’s Degree (Museology/Archaeology/History or Fine Arts). Minimum 2 years experience in relevant department. Candidates who do not qualify for PG Degree should qualify for PG Diploma (Museology).
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years.
Salary: Rs.29,200 – Rs.92,300.
11) Electrical Attendant Group-C (MTS): 01 post
Eligibility: 10th pass with ITI certificate (Electrical Trade). Must have at least 2 years of experience in a museum.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years.
Salary: Rs.18,000-Rs.56,900
