GDS Results 2023: Verification of Certificates by Dec 18
Postal GDS Results: Officials have released the 5th list of selected candidates for filling up 30,041 Grameen Dak Sevak (GDS) posts in branch post offices in various postal circles across the country. The details of selected candidates for the jobs are made available on the official website. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks/ grade merit obtained in class 10th. Candidates were selected by computer generated method based on preference of marks and rule of reservation. Regarding the results, 113 candidates from AP and 381 candidates from Telangana qualified for examination of certificates in the first list.
There are 1,058 posts in Andhra Pradesh and 961 posts are being filled in Telangana. For this, applications are invited from August 3. Candidates selected in the first list will have to appear for the verification of certificates by December 18. Candidates selected for these posts will have to serve as Branch Postmaster and Assistant Postmaster.

30,041 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS Schedule-2, July 2023) vacancies have been advertised in various post offices across the country. These appointments are made on the basis of the marks obtained in class 10th. The selected candidates will have to perform duties as Branch Post Master (BPM), Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. Starting salary Rs.10,000 – Rs.12,000 depending on the post.
Candidates for these posts should work for four hours a day. Apart from these, incentives are given to BPM/ABPM/Doc Sevaks for services related to Indian Postal Payment Bank. The value of those services depends on the intensive. The Department of Posts will provide them with a laptop/ computer/ smart phone to perform their daily duties. The concerned office should have accessible residence. Cycling should come.
