UPSC Mains 2023 Results released. The Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC Civil Services Mains-2023 results on December 8. The results are available in PDF format on the official website.

UPSC Mains 2023 Results released

Candidates who have qualified the prelims exam and appeared in the main exam can check their results. UPSC has released the category wise results and announced the hall ticket numbers of the selected candidates. Those who qualify in this examination will be interviewed for selection to IAS, IFS, IPS and other central services. UPSC will announce the interview dates soon.

Candidates selected through main exam will be shortlisted for interview (personality test). They will be interviewed at the UPSC office in Delhi. UPSC sources said that the interview dates will be announced soon. It is known that the civil services main exams were conducted from September 15 to 24 this year.

Candidates who qualify the main exam will have to attend the interview (personality test) in the next stage. Detailed Application Form-2 is available on the official website of UPSC for selected candidates. Candidates have to complete it by December 15. Interview will be conducted for the candidates who have completed this. Interview will be for 275 marks. Candidates will be selected for Allindia services based on interview merit, mains and prelims marks.

UPSC Mains 2023: Some more information

It is known that the Union Public Service Commission has conducted the Civil Services Main Examination on September 16, 17, 18, 24 and 25. Examinations were conducted in two sessions on the respective dates. 9 am Exams will be conducted in the first session from 12 noon to 12 pm and in the second session from 2 pm to 5 pm. Earlier, Civil Services-2022 Prelims Exam was conducted by UPSC on June 5 in the morning Paper-1 (General Studies). This paper-1 question paper has 100 questions for 200 marks. Also afternoon Paper-2 (Aptitude Test-CSAT) was conducted with 80 questions for 200 marks. It has released the preliminary exam results on 12th July. A total of 11,845 candidates have qualified for the mains exam. Out of them 673 candidates will appear from Telangana. The examination was conducted at three centers in Hyderabad.

UPSC announced 1011 vacancies this year. 300 more than last year. Vacancies announced in 2021 are very less compared to last five years. Due to the removal of Railway Services from the Civil Services Examination, the number of vacancies has decreased. The actual announced vacancies this year are 861. Then the government added 150 vacancies of Railway Management Services making the total 1011 vacancies. Vacancies have increased by 42 percent compared to last year.
